Introduction

We are a small family Limited Company of Fine Wine Merchants founded in 1975. Our core business is the creation of individual cellars for our private clients worldwide. We take pride in offering an extremely personal service; this means 4 major and 8 monthly lists to everyone; it means regular and long visits to overseas clients 4 times a year (see Our Markets); and it means numerous tasting visits to our suppliers (see Our Wines).

Simon Cox, Executive Chairman, is a Master of Wine (MW) with nearly 32 years experience in the trade. His son, Alex Cox, is now Managing Director, having initially trained in South Africa & Bordeaux and has had 10 years with the firm.

Our clients, whose differing tastes and inclinations we have the expertise to meet, are interested in drinking good wine and are more, or less, knowledgeable. In any event, they all realise that it will pay them in the long run to start to lay down something of a cellar now, free of all taxes until delivered in UK or abroad, stored in perfect English underground conditions for their future pleasure. They are prudent.

  • We can arrange Chateau etc. visits for established clients.
  • We are able to source wines on request.
  • We advise on your cellaring conditions prior to delivery.
  • We regularly advise and execute any sales clients may wish to make. UK is the prime market.
