Domaine Hudelot-Noëllat is one of the treasured names of Vosne-Romanée, known for wines of purity and charm. The estate’s philosophy centres on attentive vineyard work and a restrained, thoughtful approach in the cellar, allowing their enviable collection of terroirs to express themselves with clarity and finesse. There is a quiet confidence to everything they do, reflected in the precision of their fruit and the harmony of their wines.
The style is elegant and vividly perfumed, with fine, supple tannins and a beautiful sense of lift running through the range. Each wine, from village level to grand cru, carries that unmistakable Vosne silkiness, offering depth without heaviness and detail without austerity. Hudelot-Noëllat continues to be a benchmark for lovers of Burgundy with delicacy and soul.
Domaine Hudelot Noëllat was born in 1964, when Alain Hudelot inherited vines from both the Hudelot and Noëllat sides of his family and decided to bring them together under a single label. That union created a remarkably strong set of Vosne Romanée holdings, including parcels in some of the village’s most sought after climats. Over the following decades Alain quietly refined the domaine’s style, favouring pure fruit and supple textures that let the vineyards speak. His grandson Charles Van Canneyt has since taken over, adding a few gentle refinements of his own while keeping the essential silkiness and charm that have made the wines so admired. The estate today feels like a very natural continuation of that family thread.
