The tale of Domaine des Lambrays revolves around the Clos des Lambrays, a vineyard first mentioned in the fourteenth century and long regarded as one of Morey Saint Denis’s defining sites. For much of its life the Clos was divided among several owners, its potential only partly realised, until the nineteenth century brought a slow reassembling of the parcels under a single banner.
