Good full red. Superripe aromas and flavors of strawberry liqueur and licorice. Huge, sweet and distinctly liqueur-like. A monster, Confuron agreed, like 2002 in the direction of 2003. It has balance and richness but not real class. Finishes with big, broad tannins and an almost roasted ripeness. This persistent, outsized wine reminded me of biting into a chocolate truffle.
