The 2023 Beaune Clos des Ursules 1er Cru leans more toward a "meaty" bouquet, with touches of singed leather struck through the red fruit against a background of leather scents. The palate is where this really comes into its own amongst the sextet of Beaune Premier Crus: finer tannins, beautifully balanced with a sensual, silky finish that beckons you back for more. Excellent.
