The 2021 Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Au Vallon shows a touch more reduction on the nose, but there is more complexity and terroir expression than the regular Hautes-Côtes. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins, a subtle white pepper and thyme note with a nicely structured, slightly metallic finish. Give this a year in bottle.
