The 2023 Chambolle-Musigny Village has a similar nose to the Gevrey Village with that smoky bacon element obscuring the terroir and fruit profile. The palate is slightly mentholé on the entry, giving way to a sweet core of slightly figgy fruit. Perhaps the sun slightly molded this Chambolle; I prefer the Vosne Village served alongside.
