The 2023 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Roncières 1er Cru has a concentrated, forthright bouquet with black cherries, raspberry coulis and iodine scents that don't hold back. The palate is ripe on the entry with slightly tarry black fruit, giving way to aniseed notes toward the close. This is powerful and long, if just a little too saccharine on the finish.
