The 2023 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru, which was bottled last spring, has quite a powerful bouquet with layered black plum and raspberry fruit, touches of peony and Indian spices. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins that frame the raspberry, blackberry and cranberry, quite peppery from the 50% whole bunch and touches of clove towards the finish. Very fine.
