The 2019 Volnay Vieilles Vignes comes from 60- to 75-year-old vines located in three vineyards. It has a light red cherry and orange blossom nose that just needs more intensity. The palate is medium-bodied with a fleshy opening, very smooth and harmonious, and a plush strawberry finish. It just needs more complexity and appellation expression.
