The 2016 Brunello di Montalcino Vigna Loreto is mentholated yet darkly floral, with crushed ashen stones and exotic spice giving way to black fruits. It’s silky and elegant with a balanced inner sweetness and crunchy red berry fruits, with brisk acidity to balance. Grippy tannins promise many years more. The 2016 is so mineral and intense; it’s a dynamic and dramatic wine.
