Brilliant violet. A complex, highly perfumed bouquet evokes ripe black and blue fruits, cola, exotic spices and vanilla, and a sexy floral note gains strength as the wine stretches out. Deeply concentrated but impressively energetic as well, offering sweet, penetrating boysenberry, black raspberry, violet pastille and chewing tobacco flavors that are given spine by a core of juicy acidity. Delivers an impressive punch of dark fruit on the strikingly long, floral-tinged finish, which is framed by youthfully chewy tannins. Raised for 32 months in new French and American oak barrels.
