The 2021 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Embrazées 1er Cru has a fragrant bouquet with pretty white peach and chamomile scents that infuse the citrus fruit. The oak is nicely integrated here. The palate is well balanced but does not quite deliver the complexity desired, a little more malic in style with a brisk citric finish. It just needs more length although it broadens nicely after 15 minutes in the glass. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.
