Michel Gros belongs to one of Vosne Romanée’s best known wine families, whose history stretches back to the nineteenth century and encompasses several Gros domaines. After years working alongside his father at Domaine Jean Gros, Michel chose to establish his own estate in 1979, taking responsibility for a set of family vineyards and later adding further parcels in Vosne, Nuits Saint Georges and the Hautes Côtes. Over the decades he has honed a style that is both classical and gently aromatic, drawing on his family’s traditions but giving them his own inflection.
